Myrtle Alpha Nelson Nance, 94, of Roanoke Rapids died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Guardian Care of Scotland Neck.

Mrs. Nance was a native of Union County, SC, the daughter of the late Addison Banner Nelson and Mary Green Nelson. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mincie Britton and Annie Sanders.

She is survived by her daughter, Alpha Nelson Levesque of Roanoke Rapids; her son, Robert Arthur Nance, Jr. of Youngsville; three grandchildren, Eric Levesque, Robert Nance and his wife, Beth, and Kathy Massey; two great-grandchildren, Arial Levesque and Caroline Nance; and “the girls” Thelma Fowler, Hilda Murphy and Catherine Britton.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where a memorial service will be held in the chapel on Sunday, November 21, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Bell officiating.
